Hello, this is Jessica Champion. I haven’t been at church the past couple Sundays because my stepson Charles (he has come with me to church once) was in a serious car accident on 3/29 and broke both his femurs. He had surgery on 3/30 and they placed steel rods in each of his legs.

My other stepson, Sydney was driving and they got into a head on collision. Sydney had a partially collapsed lung, three broken ribs and two cracked vertebrae. Sydney and Charles‘s little sister Kela had a fractured rib and a laceration on her kidney. She was taken to Harborview’s pediatric intensive care unit, but is home now recovering. Sydney‘s girlfriend Millie broke her ankle.

Charles is now at home recovering (since Friday) and I am taking some extended time off of work to care for him until we can get some caregiving assistance, but I need to be at home 24/7 now because he can’t get out of bed at all; so I am helping him with the bathroom and eating and cooking and everything.

I would love prayers and if anyone wanted to stop by and say hello, I would appreciate it. It sucks being stuck at home

One of the support groups that I go to started a meal train for us, if that is something that you would be willing to share with members of the church. Meals would help incredibly as I am not working and probably won’t be working for about another month while I care for him.
