Pastor Dan Lloyd (Lead Pastor) was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, and moved to Auburn, Washington, as a boy when his mother was hired to be Miss Margaret on the Romper Room television show.
Dan graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1976, Biola University (BS: Christian Education) in 1982, and Talbot School of Theology (MA: Marriage and Family Ministries) in 1985. He also did post-graduate work at the Jerusalem University College in Jerusalem, Israel.
In 1988, Dan planted SeaTac Bible Church (now WestHill Church). He has taught at Cascade Bible College in Bellevue, Washington; the Strategic Bible Institute in Lipetsk, Russia; Saint James Bible Academy in Minsk, Belarus; and African Bible College University in Yekepa, Liberia (where his students nicknamed him “Walking Bible”).
Dan also has a significant funeral ministry for the un-churched in his community and wrote Leading Today’s Funerals (1997, Baker Book House).
Based on his extensive study, travel experience, and knowledge gained as a tour host in Israel, Greece, and Jordan, Dan developed and wrote The Glory of Israel, an eight-week self-contained, multi-media teaching series that equips tour hosts with the confidence to lead life-changing journeys for both novice and experienced travelers.
When he is not teaching or traveling, Dan enjoys river fishing in the Pacific Northwest (and Alaska, if invited). He and his wife Joanne have four grown children and four grandchildren.
